What People Are Saying:

Heather was able to take something that looks so complex and break it down step by step. The next thing you know, you have a masterpiece on your hands! This course proved to be an invaluable asset in my small baking business.

Madelyne, Maddog Sweets

I’ve been immersed in the world of cake design for over 8 years and I’m always looking for new techniques to incorporate. The Painting with Buttercream class from Sweet Heather Anne was the perfect way to add this skill to my repertoire. The instructions and video were so easy to follow and I truly felt like I was in the studio with Heather. After taking the class, I couldn’t wait to work on a floral buttercream cake. I’m super proud of what I created and I’m so grateful that Heather shared her knowledge with us.

Randi, Sugar Euphoria

My name is Elizabeth Rzoska, and I own a small bakery in Portland, Maine called Prairie Baking Co. We specialize in buttercream cakes decorated with fresh flowers. With Heather’s technique, the color is added more purposefully than other “watercolor buttercream” techniques. The results are more painterly and not muddled. I often use this technique to emulate waves or layers of mountains and mist. The results can be quite ethereal or very bold depending on the color palette that you choose. This is a great, not incredibly time consuming, way to elevate your cakes. I’m so happy to have it in my arsenal of skills for cake decorating.
